About
Ellie Cole OLY is an Australian diver competing internationally in the 10m platform event. She represented Australia at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where she reached the final in her Olympic debut.
Ellie is currently studying Aerospace Engineering at Stanford University while competing in the NCAA Division I system, where she is the current NCAA Division I Platform Diving Champion. Alongside her collegiate success, she placed 5th at the World Aquatics Championships in 2025 and won bronze at the 2026 World Cup Super Final in China in the 10m platform synchronised event for Australia.
Born in the United States and raised in Sydney, Ellie transitioned to diving from gymnastics at the age of 11. Since then, she has balanced elite sport with academic pursuits, developing a strong interest in engineering, innovation, and space science.
Outside of diving, Ellie is passionate about encouraging more women and girls to pursue opportunities in STEM fields. She is an advocate for creating environments where young women feel confident exploring careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
